# Hendrik Schakel · Vision on financial advice and AI

Applied wisely, AI and automation will deliver enormous gains in financial advice: for clients, for advisors and for organisations. But advice is a matter of trust, and trust is built by people. So the goal is not to replace the advisor; it is to give the advisor better leverage.

Hendrik is building towards the financial-advice practice of the future: mortgage and wealth advice in which specialised AI agents do the preparatory and administrative work, while a human keeps the client relationship and the final judgement.

## How that works in practice

- AI prepares; a human decides. Every recommendation passes a human checkpoint.
- Financial knowledge and decision rules are structured so answers are reliable and traceable.
- Calculation tools are built and independently checked.
- Outputs are tested for accuracy, completeness and uncertainty, with explicit safeguards against errors and hallucinations.
- It all stays within the boundaries of the Wft (Dutch advisory rules), the AVG/GDPR and the duty of care.

## Why it matters

Good financial planning is still too expensive, too complex or too abstract for many people. Combining deep domain expertise with well-designed automation is how excellent advice becomes faster, more consistent and more widely available, without losing the human relationship that makes people act on it.

This site is a small demonstration of that belief: it is built to be read by people and by AI agents alike. Agents are welcome to discover the structured data, the llms.txt index, and the MCP endpoint. Any actual booking or advice still passes through a human checkpoint.

Hendrik is keen to connect with like-minded people: entrepreneurs, advisors and decision-makers who want to move in the same direction.
